  When you hear that your child needs her palate expanded, you better find the best.  Let me save you some time, this place IS the best.

 My daughter who was 7 when we started, and has anxiety about anything that starts with Dr.  I thought the separation of her palate would be bad, but we still had to get through the impressions.  How are they going to get her to do this?  I was so impressed with the staff.  Dr. Lyons first started by giving my daughter tips on how to breath when the plate is in her mouth.  She was calm enough to walk to the back where she was greeted by the sweetest tech.  She did everything in her power to keep her calm and it worked!

All but one appointment was with Dr. Lyons.  She was so patient with my daughter and spoke to her while I listened in, instead of the other way around.  It's much easier to ease a child when you speak directly to them.  Dr. Lyons had the touch needed to make what could have been very difficult transitions through the various steps to achieve what was needed.

We have now been through the expander, braces and now retainer.  Every visit is top notch.  My daughter loves to come to the orthodontist for the Elleroys (Elle and Roy are the partner's first names). Very clever idea of offering wooden chips for doing a great job with your teeth.  We have quite a collection and she is looking forward to cashing them in.  They have a great selection of items to "purchase", from movies to an electric toothbrush.

Now that we are nearing the end of Phase 1, I have no worries every having to go back for Phase 2.  I know my kids will be well taken care of and the compliments on her teeth are reason enough.

 At age 38, my dentist recommended that I book a consultation with Drs. Lyons and Gunsolus. I felt a little apprehensive, however, my son was a current patient so the timing seemed right. After an initial adjustment period with my new braces, they were much more comfortable. Drs. Lyons and Gunsolus and staff made the process easier in addressing any questions or concerns that came up. I felt very reassured with the care I received, and the care they gave my son. We are both extremely happy with our results. Our friends and family are amazed with our new smiles.

I have been given superb treatment in your offices. Most importantly, as an adult my teeth were totally realigned to give me a much better look and with a much improved bite. I cannot imagine a better result. And all of this was done in a very short time. From a practical standpoint, I appreciated that I was always seen at the time scheduled, that all the assistants were skilled and pleasant, that Dr. Lyons and Dr. Gunsolus were always ready to see me when the assistants had finished, and that follow-up appointments were carefully made before I left. From a “bedside manner” standpoint, I appreciated the fact that all the assistants and the dentists were friendly to deal with and responded candidly to my questions.

My daughter has now completed her orthodontic treatment at North Seattle Orthodontics. The best thing I can say is that her care was simply as smooth and easy as it could possibly be! From our very first appointment, the office staff was professional and courteous, and all appointments went smoothly. My daughter was seen on time and the early morning appointments meant she rarely missed school. Dr Lyons was wonderful – always professional, kind and informative. The entire team worked well together, and her care always felt coordinated, never disjointed. I am enthusiastically pleased with every aspect of my daughter’s care – the great care made the whole experience of braces pretty painless. Thank you.

Dr. Gunsolus and the Amazing, Awesome, Slightly Zaney staff have made this whole experience with braces so much better than it might have been.  I thank each one of you personally.  From Amy who had to deal with me first to Melanie who would look at me when I came in each time and crack up- to everyone who had their hands in my mouth and chose colors for me.  While I might miss seeing you so regularly, I know I'll be coming in every few months until I am really old.   A couple of weeks ago I had an appointment with my dentist.  She walked into the exam room and said-  "OMG- you look like you've had a facelift!"  Now how could I possibly thank you enough for that!  I am so happy with the outcome.

Dr. Gunsolus-Thank you for taking such great care of Hazel's teeth!  We love her new, straight smile.  The whole process was so pleasant and we felt like we were in very good hands.
